 With heavy hearts, Mr. Roi Leon Plasse, 80, of Manasquan, beloved husband, Father and Grandpa, passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021 with his loving family by his side.
Roi was born in Paterson and raised in Paterson and Hawthorne, NJ. He was a graduate of St. Peter’s Prep and St. Peter’s University in Jersey City, NJ. After college, Roi began an almost 40-year career with IBM Kingston, NY.
Later in life Roi ran the “Future Kids” program at the Atlantic Club for several years. Roi enjoyed biking, his many travels, a good book or film thriller, classical music, pizza and his large family!
Though Roi’s parents, Leon and Sadie and beloved daughter Susan have passed, Roi is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Mary (nee Robinson) Plasse, and by his loving children: Theodore Plasse and his wife Julie of Bethesda, MD, Karen and Chris Surgent of Manasquan, Douglas Plasse and his wife Erin of Encinitas, CA and Jeffrey Plasse and his finance` Tara Kelly of Manasquan.
Roi was the humorous and much loved Grandpa to Charles, Emily, William, Chloe and Hazel. We love you King Plasse!
Arrangements are under the care of Orender Family Home for Funerals, Manasquan. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial and Memorial nearer summertime. Memorial donations may be made to Church of St. Denis, 90 Union Avenue, Manasquan, NJ 08736.
