From Jack
It is with great sadness that I report the death of a good friend
and classmate, Paul McEntyre. Paul and I met in the fourth grade in
OLV Jersey City and we proceeded to graduate together from there,
The Prep and St. Peter's College.
From Mike Joyce
PEACE! Paul, God bless him. I will offer Mass for him. May the Lord
bring comfort and consolation to his family. Justice, Peace, and
Joy. Fr Mike
From Cos
I spent a good many hours with Paul in a German class at St Peter's
College. And later, when I was out of work, Paul helped me get a
job. Always a nice guy.
From Vince
Mac, as he signed his name in my yearbook, was a solid guy, with a
great sense of humor, and a good word for everyone. We will miss him, as we miss all our
classmates who have left us. Our condolences go out to his family.
From Gerry Drummond
Paul, So you've gone ahead of us. I don't remember you, though your
name keeps ringing in my head like I do know you. My search in our
'58 year book gave me no clues except to realize that we class of
'58 were quite a crew--and still are. Paul, stay with us as we
wrestle our way through the unknown and the lost memories that put
us here and still draw us together.
From Ralph DeSevo
One of the really good guys. He will be missed.
From Norm Sippel
Godspeed, Mac. My sympathy and prayers for his family
From Bill Wittman
I remember Paul with good memories of the way the Jesuits formed
us. I'm will pray for Paul and his family.
From Dick McConville
Paul and I shared experiences at Our Lady of Victories Grammar
School, The Prep and St. Peter's College. The smile on his face
comes immediately to mind when I hear his name. When we sat in
alphabetical order (McConville - McEntyre), he was immediately
behind me - poor fellow. Our prayers go with him and his family.
From Dave
It is particularly difficult getting the news of the passing of a
childhood playmate and old friend with whom you’ve shared many years
going back to the earliest of school grades. Paul and I go back
“that far”.
After college, we had the opportunity to professionally work
together with me being the object of his considerable public
relations talents. We accomplished much and had a lot of fun doing
it.
Then life got busy for both of us and the occasions of reconnecting
diminished to the point, in recent years, that I sadly, repeatedly
missed the spirit urgings to “pick up the phone and call Mac …Just
to say ‘Hello’ “.
I’ll miss his laughter … I’ll miss our shared recollections of
childhood adventures and misadventures … I’ll miss his mocking
“crtiques” of my radio interview “performances”.
I’ll miss You, Paul! Rest In Peace… My Dear
Old Friend, … |
